Engage your Team at the AIRC Conference!

If you registered a team for the AIRC Conference, learn below how to maximize your team participation.

This is an opportunity for your institution/organization to benefit from your participation in the leading international student recruitment conference.

To help you get the most out of your participation, here are the steps that we recommend for your team:

Before the Conference

Decide on a Team Chair.  How you decide this is completely up to your team.  Talk with your team colleagues and see if anyone volunteers for this role. If no one volunteers, continue to discuss and work out a way to choose a Team Chair. The Team Chair will be responsible for collecting reports from Team members during the conference.

During the Conference

Each team member should take notes during each conference session they attend, recording any ideas, information, and strategies that they think are important.  After each session, team members should send these notes to the team chair.  The Team Chair consolidates these notes, identifying which topics and ideas are most frequently mentioned.

After the Conference

1. After the conference, team members should meet to debrief, using the top conference strategies they have identified as a launchpad for discussion. Team discussion should focus on how you think your institution/organization can utilize the main ideas and strategies to advance its international student recruitment goals. The Team Chair or another team member should take notes during this discussion so that there is a record that might then be used to inform your institution/organization as it develops international student recruitment plans for the future.

2. As an added benefit, AIRC staff will compile information from teams, and report out the most frequently mentioned strategies. By January15, 2021, your Team Chair should send to AIRC staff the top 3 strategies that were mentioned by your team along with any suggestions about how AIRC might assist your institution to meet its international student recruitment goals.

Note: What you submit to AIRC will remain anonymous and only the strategies you identify will be made known to others.

Thank you once again for registering a team to participate in the AIRC Conference.  We look forward to a rewarding Conference!
