Membership Pathway Grant

Purpose

The Membership Pathway Grant reflects AIRC’s commitment to diversifying its member community by making membership more accessible to less-resourced institutions and organizations.  Grant awards are intended to assist institutions and organizations by providing a bridge to new or sustaining membership in AIRC.  AIRC anticipates that grant awardees will be able to sustain membership in AIRC in the future without a Membership Pathway Grant.

New Members

Applicants for AIRC membership may submit a grant application at the time of membership application. For the grant application to be considered, a membership application must be submitted simultaneously.  You may select "Pay Later" on the membership application to receive an invoice with your grant discounted applied, if approved.

Please note the following AIRC annual membership fees:

  • Institutional Member Fee: $800
  • AIRC Certified Agency Member Fee: $2,500
  • Service Provider Member Fee: $1,500

Renewing Members

Renewing AIRC members must apply for the grant during the membership renewal period.

Selection

Since a limited amount of funding is available, application early in the membership year is recommended. The AIRC membership year starts on July 1. Successful grant applicants will be able to demonstrate: 1) financial need; 2) the value that AIRC membership will provide to their organization; 3) how the organization plans to sustain AIRC membership in the future. Priority will be given to institutions and organizations with demonstrated need, including but not limited to Minority Serving Institutions and international organizations located in countries classified as middle- or low-income economies.

Grant Awards

Grants will be awarded by reducing the cost of membership by 20 - 40% of the annual membership fee fee. The term of the grant award is one year. Awardees may apply on a year-to-year basis up to a maximum of three years.
