AIRC Certification
WHAT IS AIRC CERTIFICATION?
AIRC Certification is the US recognized quality standard for educational recruitment agencies.
AIRC Certification attests to the quality of an educational agency as determined by a rigorous process, including external review, to verify that it meets the AIRC Certification Standards. AIRC Certification of an entity applies to its educational agency operations and student recruitment activities.
AIRC member institutions (universities, colleges, secondary schools, pathways and IEPs) seek to partner with AIRC Certified agencies.
AIRC Certified agents document, and AIRC verifies, that the 5 AIRC Standards are met. The rigorous process demonstrates the serious intent and integrity of those organizations that achieve certification.
WHAT IS AN EDUCATIONAL AGENCY?
For the purposes of AIRC membership and certification, an education agency is a contracted representative that provides student counseling, recruitment, and/or enrollment services; and receives incentive compensation or commission from institutions for the successful placement of international students. Education agency businesses can include individuals, organizations, companies, or associations.
"There are many benefits to being an AIRC member. The opportunity to go through the certification process really helped our company and it has been really significant.. We were able to upgrade the quality of the applications we process, communicate much better with universities, and it has also given us the opportunity to meet with many other agency partners and exchange ideas and best practices. For an agency there are many benefits to being a part of AIRC.”

Certification Applicant Assessment Program (CAAP)
AIRC offers stackable training to earn AIRC Certification in phases. This
program is called the AIRC Certification Applicant Assessment Program (CAAP).
The CAAP program is specifically designed for new educational agencies or companies that are entering the educational recruitment business and do not yet meet the 2-year business requirement. Additionally, it is a valuable resource for organizations that would like training on how to meet the AIRC Standards.
AIRC allows up to 3 years to complete CAAP. In each of the three phases, agencies complete online, asynchronous training modules and documentation that align with the Standard requirements. Assignments are reviewed by the AIRC Certification Commission and badges can be earned for each of the three completed phases of CAAP. Read more about this program.
